Current US Consumer Sentiment: 67 (-11.8% vs last year)

The University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index (MCSI) is calculated based on a survey of 500 U.S. households conducted monthly by the Surveys of Consumers at the University of Michigan. The index is based on five core questions that assess consumers’ views on current economic conditions (2 questions) and future expectations (3 questions).
